The forest exploitation, a problem of the current importance.

Between the uses and expropriation of the forest, the forest exploitation is the one that possesses major potential of alteration of the way. Nevertheless, a forest exploitation practised with criteria of sustainability can favor the biological diversity in the forests.

In Asturias, a specially active group of pressure in the last years is the forest lobby, which defends the legitimate interests of the sector, though using often very questionable arguments. One affirms, for example, that this region needs more wood that has possibilities of industrial consumption and not so much " wood of adornment " as the one that exists in 350.000 protected hectares that the region has. Affecting in this idea of the environmental superprotection, often there are questioned the possibilities of development of the rural way on having been 35 % of the Asturian surface under some figure of protection.

In my more sincere opinion the topic of the forest this exploitation transforming in a problem of big dimensions, and for example here in Verín's region one does not give a great forest exploitation, but in places other places the money this one over the biodiversity and the nature.
